About 5000 years ago in ancient sumerian men and women were possibly the first to invent and wear lipstick, they used to decorate their face, mainly on lip Red color. Women end they are make up with bright red lipstick.
Women in the colored their lips with bright red cosmetics . Lip paint in ancient Greece was initially restricted to prostitute and courtesans, but expanded to the upper class between 700 and 300 BCE.
The Chinese made some of the first lipstick that were made of Beewax over 1000years ago to protect the delicate skin of the lips.

Lipstick get popular in 16th century . In England during the time of Queen Elizabeth wear bright red lipstick and stark white face become fashionable at that time, lipstick was made from a blend Beewax and red stains from plants. Only upper class women and male from plant & upper class women and male actor ware make up.

In 19th century cosmetics in England appear to have arrived for the fashionable London bat least by 1921.
In 20th century Elizabeth trylor helped to popularized red lipstick. Thoughout the 20th century, lip stick came in limited number of shade. Dark red was the most popular shade thoughout the 19th century & 20th century. Especially in the 1920. in early Elizabeth Arden began to introduce different lipstick color. She Inspired other companies to create a variety of lipstick shade.
